  This was one of our places after work and breakfast on weekends. Customer service is nothing special. Frequently food is cool and late. Last time I lost my wallet with more than £20 at last hour (only waitress left). I called next day and "call tomorrow, the manager is not here today" was the answer. I called next day with the same answer. Finally I decided to go personally and the manager's answer was "I'm sorry, I was not here that day". Now, one of the waitress must be £20 richer.

  This the first time we have visited the Arden oak, the staff were pleasant and efficient. We ordered the chicken with king prawns then headed for the salad cart which was not very well stocked and had to wait for it to be refilled. The main course arrived looking very bland, the sweet potato fries were deep fried to death, the king prawns were transparent and tastless, and as for the corns they were over boiled and tasted like dish water. Is this the norm and the chef has become complacent? as dining out has become more expensive we expected the standard of food to be far better.

  Absolutely hated my day out!
  
  I wanted to go out for a nice meal, what I did not want to go out for was a place where a screaming child is perfectly acceptable.
  
  How can such a place have to tolerate this kind of behaviour? - Further more nothing was said to the disruptive rude customers who proceeded to "egg" their child on.
  
  I literally got sat down at my table ordered a drink. Observed the menu for a good 5 minutes whilst this child is STILL screaming the place down.
  
  No management was around to ask the customers to keep their behaviour normal.
  
  Really disappointed that there seemed to be no back bone from the staff.
