  When I approached this place I had a bad feeling, it is not in a great location, in a rather early Victorian industrial landscape, but looking down the hill I could see the bullring and the library well within walking distance. The room too was a surprise, nice and clean very comfortable and, for the price, an absolute bargain. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I am taking off a star as this pub had no cask beer!! Unforgivable.

  Lively clean cheap place with good food and a 24 hour bar. A bit loud at night especially if you are in the first floor. Friendly staff.

  You get what you pay for. Room was nice and clean but had a funny damp smell to it. One member of staff particular was quite rude and sarcy towards me and my partner. Lipstick on glasses.. no ice etc. Good location though.

  Very comfortable and nice place to stay on your visit to Birmingham. The neighbourhood is not that great but it is quite close to the city center. The staff is very polite, they made our stay even more enjoyable and since there were spare rooms available we even got a full upgrade to a superior room. I would definitely recommend it.
